I enjoy reading (though I rarely find the time), watching TV (spend way too much time doing that - should be reading!), travel (Italy is my favorite though I haven't been there in 12 years), music (especially going to see it live), exercising (I know - ugh!), drinking wine (though vodka or tequila will do), drinking coffee (though trying unsuccessfully to switch to green tea), going to the beach (heaven), spending time with my husband and kids (the loves of my life), and going out with my amazing girlfriends (couldn't do any of it without them!).
Biography
I'm a 40ish happily married mom living in the suburbs of Southern California and trying my hardest to have a life more fun and interesting than that sounds! After college I went to work in the music industry which sounds exciting, but actually I was an overworked, underpaid, stressed out assistant who got yelled at by a boss much younger and shorter than me. Now I'm an overworked, underpaid, stressed out mom who gets yelled at by short, young people, but at least I get to kiss them goodnight at the end of the day! Actually I'm now putting my business degree to excellent use by working as an Instructional Assistant in the Special Ed department of a local elementary school. Well, as I like to say to my kids, "You never know where life is going to take you." The best thing about my job (besides the amazing kids and staff I have the privilege of working with) is that I'm on the same schedule as my kids. (Oh yeah - summers off!) Laughter is very important in our family and I try to find something to laugh out loud about every single day.
