When Jessica Leigh graduated with a degree in creative writing, she figured she'd be slinging lattes for the rest of her life, so she shaved her head, moved into a VW bus and set off for Alaska. How We Roll

Wednesday, January, 30, 2008

We at skirt! sponsored the “Ex and The City” Party last night at the New River Auto Mall in Bluffton, and as good as we looked in our superfine skirt! t-shirts (available for sale at the Southern Women’s Show Feb. 8-10), the star of the event was the new Infiniti EX 35.

Check out Candice, our sales director, and account executives Suzie, Colleen and Teri (her eye, anyway) flashin’ the guns in the EX’s gorgeous aubergine-colored floor model:

For every person who signed up to test drive of one of these babies, New River made a donation to the skirt! Scholarship Fund, benefitting local women “on the road to success.” Of course, no one was doing any actual cruising last night since there were tangy Cosmopolitans being served left and right courtesy of Southern Graces Catering & Design; owned by the amazing and visionary Bethany Hewitt. (She and her husband Christopher cook and work together – read more in the February issue!)

Look at how creatively Bethany presented her nibbles:

The chicken cordon bleu in a shot glass was the most delicious thing ever, and I’m going to be stealing the Caprese-salad-on-a-stick idea for my next party for sure. Here’s the chef herself flanked by two adoring fans:

And here’s the rest of us, posing like rock stars (’cause after a coupla Bethany’s Cosmos, we actually thought we were)

At the front of the table are our brand new, die-cut fridge magnets, which you can have for the low, low price of a smile if we see ya at the Southern Women’s Show. Of course, we had to leave our mark on the EX 35, ‘cause that’s how we roll...
