Pam Nilsen, Videographer, Beaufort, SC
My work: At "The Memory Tree
Video," we take oral histories of people to turn their memories into
heirlooms.
My passion: Travelling and being with my family.
My favorite possession: My wedding ring set that belonged
to my great aunt, and of course, all my photos and videos.
I’m thinking about: Applying production techniques
I learned in NYC to a travel and nature video.
Words I live by: Try to be humble and kind,
and help whenever you can without fanfare.
I am most proud of: The relationship my husband
and I have with our children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
One thing I never want
to do again:
Wait tables (I was horrible at it) and ride in a hot air balloon.
I am guilty of: Trying to cram too much
into too little time.
Right now I’m reading:Videographer Magazine.
If I could do it all
over again:
I would!
The food I could eat
every day: Tortellini
with cajun shrimp in Alfredo sauce.
If I were a superheroine, I would be:
"The Tranquilizer" and eliminate stress for everyone.
I still can’t get the
hang of:
Backing up a trailer.
I’d like to learn to: Act and write – I’m getting
a chance with The Arts Council of Beaufort County class offerings!
My first job: Being in charge of pony
rides at different fairs - my pay was horseback riding at the end of the day
after the ponies were fed and brushed.
Always... Make the moment special.
Never...Be cruel or funny at someone
else’s expense.
I wish…Aside from world peace, that
I could spend more time on the water with family.
