Women and the Sea

Get deep with a series of short films about women and their relationships with the big blue, a featured program of Gray's Reef Marine Sanctuary's Ocean Film Festival. Kau Fangota: Gleaners of the Sea explores the changing role of women in the South Pacific culture of Tonga, Surfing Thru follows three women who find strength and solace riding waves as they battle cancer, and Last Refuge chronicles the Arctic adventure of mother-daughter filmmaking team Diane and Ann Mason, who will be present to answer questions and share the knowledge they've brought back from the furthest reaches of the planet.
